The discerning eye is an educational charity, established in 1990, to encourage a wider understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. Karen was one of the five finalist in The David Gluck memorial. Drawing busary with her dleicate sketchbooks of India and China. Her books were exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London, in 2008 ING Discerning Eye Exhibition.
